Pioneering Youth AI Safety & Ethics Event, Kids’ AI Summit 2026, Makes Southeast Asian Debut in Thailand
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Inaugural regional summit for children features an INTERPOL keynote, regional hackathons, and the launch of the School Alliance for Human-Centric AI.
BANGKOK, THAILAND — Smart City Academy (SCA) Hong Kong and Kigumi Group have announced that the Kids’ AI Summit 2026 Thailand will make its inaugural debut in the country from 6-7 November 2026 at Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok.
This exclusive gathering will bring together selected students, parents, and educators flying in from across Thailand, China, Myanmar, Singapore and the EU to collaborate directly on the future of ethical technology. Following successful editions in Hong Kong and South Korea, Kigumi Group is leading the charge in Thailand to bring this event to South-East Asia and help bridge digital safety gaps between youth, families, schools and policymakers. Over 1.5 days, international student delegates between 6 and 16 years will work side-by-side to build peer-to-peer AI ethics toolkits, equip caregivers with practical digital parenting strategies, and establish a unified framework for human-centric AI education tailored to Asia.
"In a landscape saturated with similar EdTech and AI conferences, we’ve taken a social impact approach to AI education for children with this event," said Mila Devenport, Founder, Kigumi Group, Thailand Country Lead for Kids' AI Summit. "We’re prioritising the work of public-good partners in order to emphasise the practical AI safety and digital wellbeing skills that children and families need to thrive in an AI-age. Our focus is squarely on digital wellbeing and child safeguarding for the new generation of AI-natives."
Observes Joe Cahill, Assistant Head, Co-Curricular, Wycombe Abbey Bangkok, “We are delighted to host the inaugural Kids’ AI Summit in Thailand and to welcome students, parents and educators from across the region to Wycombe Abbey Bangkok. As AI continues to shape the world our students are growing up in, events like this provide an important opportunity to move beyond simply understanding the technology and consider how we use it responsibly, safely and with people at the centre. Bringing young people, families and educators together to share ideas and learn from one another is an important part of ensuring that innovation is matched by the values, judgement and digital wellbeing our students need to thrive.”
Keynote Address by INTERPOL & Regional Collaborations
Underscoring the event's emphasis on child safeguarding and digital ethics, Ms. Ashly Lam, Assistant Director of Cyber Strategy and Capabilities Development (Cybercrime Directorate) at INTERPOL, will deliver the keynote address. Her session will tackle global cyber-threat trends, emerging risks in generative AI, and international strategies for keeping youth safe online.
The Thailand Summit is backed by a coalition of institutional partners:
Keynote & Intergenerational Policy Integration: An opening keynote by INTERPOL followed by an invite-only Intergenerational AI Roundtable connecting ASEAN policymakers, law enforcement, educators, and teens.
Regional Cross-Cultural AI Ethics Hackathons: Cross-cultural student teams (ages 6–15) flying in from across Asia to solve real-world community challenges using no-code, human-centred design practices.
Digital Wellbeing Pop-Up Booths: Interactive cyber-safety experiences hosted by Thailand's National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), Mahidol University (spotting deepfakes), and more.
Youth Leadership Platforms: Stage presentations through 3-minute Kids’ AI Speeches and Student Tech-for-Good Showcases.
Parent Upskilling: Exclusive parenting experiences led by experts covering anti-bullying and child safety strategies in a digital age, financial literacy, emotional intelligence for Asian parents, and neurodiversity and tech.
Launching the School Alliance for Human-Centric AI
A cornerstone of the 2026 Thailand Summit is the official launch of the School Alliance for Human-Centric AI, a dynamic coalition powered by Kigumi Group designed to set the global standard for ethical, human-led technology integration across Asia. Founding members, including Wycombe Abbey Bangkok, Montessori Academy Bangkok International School (MABIS), and Tunas Muda School, will engage in real-time knowledge sharing as the landscape of AI education in Asia continues to rapidly evolve, benefiting from:
Regular virtual and in-person roundtables: Student leaders, educators and policy makers share emerging strategies, troubleshoot device challenges, and exchange practical tips.
Expert Insights: Access to academicians from leading global institutions like the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Chicago, in addition to industry specialists working at the intersection of AI ethics, digital wellbeing, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
First Access to Innovations: Priority access to cutting-edge tools and resources, including products like the AI Process Journal for students and Alice, an agentic Digital Parenting Coach.
Says Cahill of Wycombe Bangkok’s role as a Founding Member of the Alliance: “AI is developing at a pace that makes collaboration between schools more important than ever. The School Alliance for Human-Centric AI provides an opportunity for educators to share ideas, learn from one another and ensure that technology enhances, rather than replaces, the human relationships at the heart of education. For Wycombe Abbey Bangkok, being part of this alliance is about helping to shape an approach to AI that is ethical, purposeful and centred on the needs of our students.”
