Recruiting for Kigumi’s Youth Advisory Panel (YAP)

The YAP will complement our current Academic Advisory Panel, composed of professors from places like the University of Chicago, Peking University, and the University of Hong Kong, and be our go-to suite of committed, engaged and trained adolescents helping to first-hand shape the direction of our organisation as we grow this year.

Kigumi’s Youth Advisory Panel (YAP) at a glance:

  • Ages: 12-18 (requires parental consent to participate)

  • Location: Anywhere in the world

  • Language: Meetings will be mainly in English but non-English speakers encouraged to join as we can leverage translation tools to enable participation

  • Cost: Pro bono / volunteer role (no cost to join or participate)

  • Expected time commitment: 1-year commitment with possibility of extension. Group meetings every other month plus project-based emails / group chats in between.

We already have reps from the US, Namibia and Thailand beginning to brainstorm the format and objectives of the panel with us.
